Endorsements

Because of my sincere regard for the position, the Court, my staff, and the people we serve, I am supporting and fully endorsing attorney Erica Giovanni Baez as Chesterfield’s next Circuit Court Clerk.

Clerk of Court Wendy Hughes

Erica is a passionate leader who has served Chesterfield County with distinction. In my more than 30 years as Commonwealth’s Attorney, I saw firsthand the type of leader we need to serve as Circuit Court Clerk. That leader is Erica. I am confident she will bring character, humility, integrity, and innovative ideas to our Circuit Court.
Former Commonwealth Attorney Billy Davenport

I have personally met with Erica now on several occasions and can say that she is more than qualified to succeed Wendy and assume the duties as Chesterfield’s Circuit Court Clerk. That is why I have endorsed her for this position and will work alongside her as she prepares for this election.

Sheriff Karl Leonard

The Chesterfield County Clerk’s Office needs to have continued, strong leadership. I can think of no one better than Erica Baez to build on retiring clerk Wendy Hughes’s leadership. She has my full support.
Jim Ingle

Erica’s experience as a clerk for Judge Harold Burgess has equipped her with a deep understanding of the legal system and its inner workings. This experience, combined with her more than 10 years of practice as a family law litigator, gives her a comprehensive perspective on the issues that come before the court. Her familiarity with the intricacies of family law and the nuances of legal proceedings makes her an ideal candidate for the position of Chesterfield County Clerk of Court.
Powhatan County Commonwealth’s Attorney Rob Cerullo

Erica is a dedicated attorney who has spent years representing Chesterfield in various capacities. From serving as a law clerk for Circuit Judge Harold Burgess, Jr., to opening her own firm, to serving on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce, I can think of no one better to serve Chesterfield County than Erica.
